Week 8 EOC: Creative Content

The creative content for my final project will be a short commercial advertising my drink and also act as an anti-peer pressure campaign. It will start off showing a younger teenager, about 13 years old being pressured by his friends to start drinking. The character being pressured will refuse and walk out of frame and the screen will fade to black then showing the logo and an announcer speaking over. The line for the announcer will be "We don't promote that kind of pressure.. Under Pressure Vodka. Please respect the legal drinking age and drink responsibly".

EOC Week 7: The Pitch

Under Pressure is the name of my company and what sets us apart from other brands is that we purify our water by boiling it, but we don't boil it the traditional way. All the water that is put in our vodka has been raised to a boiling temperature by putting it under extreme amount of pressure. The the ethanol will be distilled 3 times to remove any impurities. Using pressure to boil water is not only faster than using a flame, it also saves energy, so it will cheapen the process and we can turn the vodka for a bigger profit. Since the way the drink is made is unique, it can be sold for even more which in turn, will give us an even larger profit. Our target market is any fan of a nice strong vodka, parents, and environmentalists. Under Pressure will be a regular 50 Proof and sell for $25 per 3/4 liter.

Week 9 EOC: The Narrative

Our vodka uses water purified with a common household technique that is overwhelmingly under appreciated. Using pressure to purify our water brings out a unique taste in the water that gives our vodka it's signature flavor. Pressure Vodka is not a club kind of vodka, we aim to be the go-to drink for formal social gathering and hope to bring fans of our drink together. We recommend drinking Pressure Vodka chilled and with a fruity candy (like starburst) for fun.

Week 4 EOC: The Cult of Apple

For my app, it would be something that runs in the background while you phone was on, and it would take information of what your favorite apps are. The apps you use most, would be automatically be put on the homepage of your phone. The less you use an app, the farther away it would be from the homepage. So for people who are constantly on their phone, when they need to quickly access something, it's right there on the front page. It helps for teens who want to capture that quick moment or who want to stay updated on the latest celebrity tweet.  Or for a working-class adult who wants to check the days stocks or the breaking news everyone is talking about. It's not much of a difference but it makes finding apps simpler as long as you know how often it's used. The app would be called "Simply Sorted" and would be free of charge on the iTunes and Google Play stores.

Week 3 EOC: DAI

DAI’s mission is to make a lasting difference in the world by helping people improve their lives. "We envision a world in which communities and societies become more prosperous, fairer and better governed, safer, healthier, and environmentally more sustainable." (http://www.dai.com/who-we-are/mission-and-values)

DAI does anything they can to help better a country, whether it be growing food, purifying water, or solving political and military conflicts. They have helped over 150 different countries and counting; setting up bases and helping the locals is the first step. Once they figure out what a countries problem is, they start brainstorming ideas and talking to higher authorities on ways they can help. DAI's goal is to help everyone become equal and to help solve every problem a region might have in the best way possible.

Week 3 EOC: My Demographics

"One thing that all of the Millennials have in common is their utter fluency and comfort with digital technology." (73) This statement is 100% true, as my I'm the one my family turns to when they need help with the computer or their phone. I'm a die-hard Android user, but when my sister needs help with her iPhone I can easily answer her questions. My brother is a millennial as well. but all he can do is use different IOS'. Growing up surrounded by technology helped me become well versed and sparked my love for web design.  Even though I don't notice it myself I'm constantly checking social media and conversating with friends I made around the world through even more technology. When it comes to video games, I used to be really into them, I would choose to stay at home and play on the Xbox or Wii. But now I only own 2 games. both being idle games on my phone. As we discussed last week, everything is on mobile, everything a millennial needs can be accessed on a smart phone. Anything from music to writing a paper or taking notes can be done, and if not directly, there will always be an app for it. I've grown so used to using technology that I can type faster than I can write and find taking notes electronically is easier than in a physical notebook. When I was in high school the administration took note of this fact and encouraged students to have everything stored electronically and to use our laptops and phones in class. The negative side to being a millennial is now that everything can be found online we're becoming lazy and don't solve things ourselves, and we just  hope the answer can be found online

Week 1 EOC: My Voice

I am a problem solver and a God amongst men. From a young age I have been challenging myself with puzzles and brain teaser games. My love for Web Design was a complete accident that turned into a burning passion. I took the class purely for the man who taught it and he helped me realize that a broken website is just one big puzzle. I get excited trying to find problems in my own code and a cold chill down my spine when I find it. My ideal night is sitting underneath the electric blanket with my herbal green tea coding on my laptop. I am fluent in HTML, CSS, and Javascript, I have touched on using Dreamweaver but my preferred editor is Brackets. My goal is to be able to create user-friendly sites for any kind of business and attract lots of traffic to any page that has my name on it. I often outsource to find inspiration for any web page. I often look towards hip hop dancers and skill toy users when I'm unsure about the color scheme I want to use for a project. I believe the staff at the Art Institute of Las Vegas will help me master my trade and teach me the skills I need to know and get me out in the work field as soon as possible.
